What’s included

  • Old patio or lawn dug out
  • A proper compacted sub-base

  • Indian sandstone edging and gravel borders
  • Paths round to the front or side of the house
  • Falls set so water runs away from the house

Why porcelain

Porcelain is durable, easy to maintain and looks good all year round. It doesn’t need sealing like natural stone, it doesn’t stain easily, and a quick wash brings it back.

Recent patios

One recent job used 900 × 600mm porcelain tiles for a clean, modern finish, with Indian sandstone edging and Flamingo gravel. Another, for customers whose extension we’d built two years before, was a large patio at the back, a new path round to the front of the house and a second patio area there.

Laid to last

The part you don’t see matters most. We dig out properly, lay and compact a sub-base, and set the levels so rainwater runs away from the house and off the patio, not into the back door.

Questions

Patios: common questions

Are your quotes free?

Yes. Ash will come and look at the job, talk it through with you and send a clear written quote: what’s included, what isn’t, and a realistic timescale. There’s no charge and no obligation. If you agree the work at your home, you normally have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Which areas do you cover?

We’re based in Spalding and work across South Holland, including Pinchbeck, Holbeach, Long Sutton, Crowland, Donington, Moulton, Weston, Cowbit, Gosberton and Surfleet, plus Bourne and the Deepings. If you’re a little further out, ask: it depends on the job. See areas we cover.
